Shirley Collier

When you're immersed in your organisation it can be difficult to grasp the key issues. A strategic thinker who assimilates information quickly, I can work with you to identify and address drivers of change. You may want an objective professional to carry out strategic analysis, help write your business plan, conduct internal reviews, write reports, make presentations at board level and provide executive support.

I offer a number of packages which are aimed at improving how teams work together:

Suitable for teams of up to six who work regularly together • Leading participants through the questionnaire • Facilitating a work shop on team building, based on the questionnaire • Discussion of implications of personality type for all aspects of an organisation – recruitment, performance, success – and how to maximise personality types

B Teaching the GROW model to a small team (2 hour session)

Suitable for teams of up to six; relevant for managers responsible for performance in groups of 4-6 • Theoretical explanation of the GROW model • Live demonstration of the model with one team member • Individuals practice coaching using the GROW model with support from me

C Influencing people through storytelling (2 hour session)

What clients say about Shirley...

  • "Shirley carried out a strategic review for our organisation at a point when a commercially-driven development opportunity was on the table. She quickly grasped the situation, visited our site and was able to spend time with me and my staff, discussing and analysing options. Her report for our board combined strategic and operational heritage recommendations with a business-like approach. Having an external, objective eye gave additional credibility to the proposals, which was a real advantage."
Nick Hewitt, Head of Attractions and Collections, Explosion: Museum of Naval Firepower

  • "Shirley undertook an evaluation and critique of a project for NLC. She was quick to grasp the detail of the brief, focus in on the issues, including some between the lines, and produce an excellent report with helpful and workable recommendations founded on her research and experience. Staff found her approachable and opened up to her relaxed but incisive style of questioning in a way which elicited valuable insights into the issues, which informed her conclusions."
Neil Jacques, Head of Cultural Services, North Lincolnshire Council
